DESCRIPTION:Time : 9:00AM – 3:30PM CDT on Fri —\n\n\n\n\n\nIn this class\, students will draw four different nude figures or portraits from life in graphite (one drawing per week). Students can decide whether they wish to draw the figure or portrait each week. Instruction will include demonstrations and individual critiques\, and will focus on understanding the gesture\, structure\, and perspective of the model in space as well as the proportions and likeness. \n\n\n\n\nSpecial Notes \n\nThis workshop meets in our 2nd floor studio.\nThe model fee is $90.\n\n\n\nRequired Supplies \n\nSupply List

DESCRIPTION:Opening Reception: Friday\, May 15\, 4:30 pm—7:30 pm\n\nPalette & Chisel instructors Helen Oh and Andrew Conklin\, and artist member Claire Berger\, invite you to their biannual exhibition\, “Mélange a Trois ‘26”  at Palette & Chisel. Please join us for the opening on Friday\, May 15\, from 4:30 pm—7:30 pm.\n\nHelen’s paintings render the beauty of nature in intimate\, colorful still lifes the frequently include seashells\, painted with skill so as to allow for precise identification. Andrew focuses on naturalistic figure paintings often with individuals interacting is ways that suggest narratives.\nClaire taught pottery in La Borne\, France for twenty years. You can appreciate her expressive glazing work\, as well as their oil paintings better in person in this unique exhibition.
