Class activities include: Art anatomy presentations with: active learning through quick sketch drawing from live
models, video presentations, & muscle and skeletal models. Topics covered include: Skull bone features,
muscles of expression, facial features, proportions, perspective & aspect. Layman’s terms will augment or
replace scientific terminology whenever possible. Class goals are for the student to learn head anatomy to
contribute to improved accuracy in portraiture. Future classes will cover different sections of the body including:
1) Lower Extremity, 2) Upper extremity, and. 3) Torso.
The class will meet in our coach house studio (rear building).
