All open studios sessions are held on the third floor studio unless otherwise stated.

- Open Studio sessions are free to attend for Palette & Chisel members, with the exception of the Anatomy Open Studio on Wednesdays, for which a small donation is requested.
- Non-Members are charged $20 per Open Studio session. All-day passes are available for $30.
- Booklets of ten passes are available for $150 from studio monitors or in the office.
- Easels and tables are provided.
- There’s no need to register in advance for open studio sessions.
Open Studio sessions are partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency and is partially supported by a CityArts Grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events.
Model Marathons
Each New Year’s Day, Memorial Day and Labor Day, the Palette & Chisel hosts a Model Marathon from 7 am to 7 pm. The marathons feature 12 hours of live models in multiple studios for quick sketch drawing.
The price to attend is $30 for members and $35 for non-members with pre-registration ($5 more at the door). Lunch and refreshments are included.
